Hotel Bennett is considered one of the newest and most outstanding luxury hotels in South Carolina, defined by a style that skilfully combines classic European design with the traditional features of its host city, Charleston.
Here, sophisticated architecture defines the scenery which paints a picture in familiar hues featuring amazing parks, Colonial residences and the typical charm of waterways, which distinguish this city located at an inlet of the Atlantic Ocean.
Charleston therefore plays host to an enveloping and welcoming atmosphere that ensures visitors feel pampered, just as they do at Hotel Bennett.
The result of the refurbishment of the former Charleston County Library, this luxury hotel overlooks Charleston’s historic city centre, between King Street – the main street and culture gateway - and the corner of the historic Marion Square, and it spans a surface area of 175,000 square feet (more than 16,000 m2), boasting 179 accommodation solutions, amid rooms and suites. Construction of the hotel was entrusted to the architects of Design Continuum, who were in charge of design and style, including the areas dedicated to relaxation, such as the spa, the gym and the swimming pool on the terrace.
The latter setting involved the participation of Caesar and its proven workmanship in the skilful combination of functionality, technology and styling for the production of porcelain tiles.
In fact, Ceramiche Caesar was called upon to provide its own interpretation of the terrace and pool, in keeping with the refined canons of the entire complex.
The choice of range fell on Absolute, the series dedicated to those who enjoy a natural lifestyle. Selected in the Beola Bianca version, Absolute refers to natural stones and replicates their appearance, combining texture with versatility.
One of the benefits of the collection is the Aextra20 version, a system of monolithic porcelain slabs for outdoor use, which are perfectly squared and ground, measuring 20 mm in thickness with an antislip surface finish. Thanks to the excellent resistance of Caesar porcelain tiles for outdoor use, and the choice of four different installation methods, Aextra20 is the ideal solution for all types of outdoor flooring. Absolute can also boast another asset: its ability to combine styling with functionality is also expressed in the availability of matching trim tiles for the swimming pool picked from the Aquae Wellness Project by Caesar.
Aquae Wellness Project offers you the chance to design an organic and coordinated project to achieve a harmonious and natural look in settings dedicated to relaxation, such as swimming pools and well-being: owing to the extensive range of trim pieces and technological solutions available in 6 different textured inspirations and two thickness versions, every environment distinguished by the presence of water or slippery conditions will find the perfect solution to ensure freedom of expression and outstanding performance in the Caesar range.
This set of beneficial features has enabled Absolute best to represent the architectural and stylistic requirements of the terrace area of Hotel Bennett, guaranteeing a charming and original look outdoors, too.
Thanks to this project, Ceramiche Caesar received an Honourable Mention in the Commercial category for its products. This acknowledgement was bestowed by Confindustria Ceramica (Confederation of Italian Ceramic Industries) and by the Italian Trade Agency as part of the Ceramics of Italy Tile Competition 2020, aimed at rewarding the best Italian ceramic solutions used in innovation projects.
